Ali holds a Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Winnipeg with a major in Biopsychology. Ali has spent her occupational therapy career working in the field of rehabilitation, honing expertise in wheelchair seating and mobility, pressure management, upper extremity rehabilitation, complex discharge planning, and home safety and accessibility. In addition to Therapy First, Ali is employed at the Health Sciences Centre's Rehabilitation Hospital where she specializes in spinal cord injury, amputee, and neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation. She is passionate and keen about staying up to date with the latest assistive technologies and evidence-based interventions available in rehabilitation. She has taken further course training in Wound Care, The Occupational and Physical Therapy Management of Spinal Cord Injury, and Functional Electrical Stimulation.
Outside of work, Ali enjoys spending time outdoors at the lake, cheering on the Winnipeg Jets or Blue Bombers, and visiting the Assiniboine Park Zoo with her family.
