Jackie holds a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and an undergrad in Kinesiology, which in combination laid the foundation for understanding human movement as it relates to function.
Presently, Jackie's passion and area of expertise lies in mental health, realizing the importance of a holistic approach to health and wellness, while appreciating the interplay between each persons unique life experience and their recovery journey. Jackie's mental health assessment and intervention skills have been continuously refined over the past five years while employed in the adult mental health & addictions field, currently as a clinical team lead.
Prior to this, Jackie worked in pediatrics - a specialty she remains particularly drawn to. Jackie welcomes opportunities to help caregivers support their little people refine fine motor skills, work on meeting unique sensory needs, create alternatives to challenging behavioural patterns, or assist with attainment of developmental milestones; usually through intentionally structured play!
When not enjoying the privilege of meeting with clients, Jackie spends time outdoors with her husband and running around with their two young boys!
