Therapy First can work with your clients in their home to help them become more independent and safe with how they perform activities that are important to them. Our therapists will assess how well your clients are able to perform their "activities of daily living" (or ADL's). This includes things such as dressing, bathing, grooming, preparing meals and cleaning as well as leisure activities that are important to them.
We will consider your client's physical skills as well as their thinking skills and provide them with recommendations for ways to make their activities safe and easier for them and/or their caregivers to complete. Suggestions might include new or adapted ways of completing a task, using specialized equipment to facilitate the task or possibly changes to their environment.
Our goal is to ensure that your client and/or caregivers are able to perform all of their ADL's as safely and independently as possible.
