Rudy



Rudy recently retired after 28 years of service in the Health Sciences Centre Physiotherapy department, the last 25 of those working specifically in spinal cord injury rehabilitation. In his role as clinical advisor, he was deeply involved with inpatient and outpatient care, research and education. Rudy's research endeavors included being a principal investigator in studies focussing on spinal cord injury and exercise, lung volume recruitment in tetraplegia and balance assessment in neurological populations. He continues to be the sessional instructor for the spinal cord injury section of the University of Manitoba College of Rehabilitation Sciences Physiotherapy Program. He was a previous board member of Spinal Cord Injury Manitoba.

Early into his semi-retirement, Rudy enjoys kayaking, cycling, volunteering at the WRENCH and spending time with family and friends.
